In 1998 Adrian became the first percussionist to win the title of BBC Young Musician’s. Adrian then went on to take third prize in the Eurovision Grand Prix for Young Musicians in Vienna. After graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music in 2000 Adrian formed the Percussion Quartet, 4-MALITY, with whom he has performed at many major festivals
including the BBC Proms.
Adrian has also performed as a soloist with the BBC Philharmonic, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Austrian Radio Symphony, Royal Philharmonic, and Irish Chamber Orchestras. Concerto performances include Macmillan’s Veni, Veni, Emmanuel, Joseph Schwantner’s Percussion Concerto, and Keiko Abe’s Prism Rhapsody II.
Adrian currently works with groups such as Birmingham Contemporary Music Group, London Sinfonietta, BBC Symphony and City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestras.
